"Talk" is a song by American singer Khalid. It was released on February 7, 2019 as the first single from his upcoming second studio album. It was produced by English electronic duo Disclosure.
In the song, Khalid laments about a relationship moving too fast and the need for communication between both members of the relationship.
Khalid officially announced the song on Twitter on February 4, 2019, posting the cover art, which shows a purple wolf behind red flames. In late January, he had posted a video of himself listening to a clip of the song in his car. "Talk" was officially unveiled as Zane Lowe's World Record on Apple Music's Beats 1 radio on February 7, 2019 and released the same day.
This album is the culmination of all of the growth and experiences I have gathered over the past two remarkable years," Khalid said in a statement about his forthcoming LP. "I have been in the studio pouring my soul and spirit to create a body of work that I hope speaks to each and every one of you and I am excited to share 'Talk,' the first taste of that today.
