It was released through Syco Music, as the lead single from their fourth studio album Glory Days.The song was co written by group members Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, and Jade Thirlwall and is an empowered anthem about getting over an ex. It entered at the top of the UK Singles Chart, becoming the band's fourth chart-topping single.

In the United Kingdom the song spent three weeks at number one, becoming their second longest charting number-one single there, behind "Black Magic". It remains as the group's best selling single, as well as becoming the second best selling girl group single released in the United Kingdom, behind "Wannabe", by the Spice Girls. It was their first single to be certified triple platinum in the UK and holds the record, as the most streamed girl group song in the country. Outside of the United Kingdom, it topped the charts in the Republic of Ireland and peaked within the top ten in Australia and New Zealand. It charted in an additional twenty-four other countries including America, Canada, and Germany. At the 2017 Brit Awards, Little Mix received two nominations, and later won British Single of the Year, marking it their first Brit Award Win.
